What does a painted mark reveal about its maker?
A blog-journal of this work within the UW-Milwaukee MFA Academy
My research takes place where photography and painting meet. I suspend painter's marks in resin then photograph the form of the paint, the gesture captured, and the sculptural forms of both the resin blocks and painter's marks. Macro photography allows me to reveal and enhance what is for the most part unseeable to the naked eye. I find myself with a growing collection of strange objects containing little universes of intention and materiality.
